1. Will a surface
mount post fit into a soil anchor base and vice-versa?
It depends.
Standard Safe-Hit surface mount posts and soil anchored
posts cannot be interchanged. They are slightly different
in height, and the surface mount post is fabricated to enable
a pin to run through it. The standard Safe-Hit surface mount
post, however, is the same type of post used for the portable
Safe-Hit base (see
Safe-Hit
Flexible Signs).
The Dura-Post product is indeed interchangeable between
its soil anchor and surface mount base. The surface mount
base uses a compression pin to hold the Dura-Post in place,
whereas the soil anchor uses a bolt and nut.
RubberTough posts are not interchangeable between its
soil anchor, surface mount base or portable mat.
2. Will all surface mount posts fit
into all Safe-Hit surface mount bases?
Yes. All Safe-Hit surface mount posts will fit into any
Safe-Hit surface mount base.
3. Will all
soil anchor posts fit into all Safe-Hit soil anchors?
Yes. All Safe-Hit soil anchor posts will fit into any
Safe-Hit soil anchor.
4. Where are Safe-Hit products manufactured?
All Safe-Hit products are manufactured in the USA. Most
products are manufactured in our main facility in Pell City,
Alabama.

6. Is there a distributor in my area?
Safe-Hit has numerous local and international distributors.
Call a Safe-Hit customer support representative at (800)
537-8958 to find your closest distributor, or feel free
to query through our
online form.
7. Are your delineators reboundable?
All Safe-Hit delineators and posts are successfully tested
to rebound from impacts and rollovers in accordance with
NTPEP test requirements.
The
Dura-Post
has been tested to withstand well over 200 impacts and rollovers
at 60 mph!
8. How warm should a concrete or
asphalt surface be for an epoxy application?
For optimum performance, the recommended installation
temperature is 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees Celsius)
or above. If weather conditions are colder than a minimum
installation temperature of 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7.2 degrees
Celsius), a blowtorch can be used to warm the asphalt or
concrete surface.
9. Why have my white posts which
have been in storage turned pink?
Due to the ultraviolet (UV) inhibitors in our post's
polyethylene composition, posts kept in storage and in dark
conditions will exhibit a change in color shade from white
to pink. Once these posts are installed and exposed to sunlight,
their colors will revert back to white.
10. Do the delineator posts come
with caps?
All multi-purpose Safe-Hit posts come capped. Dura-Post
delineators do not come capped, but caps can be requested
during the order process.
11. When shipped, how many posts
and bases come in a box?
Standard Safe-Hit posts ship 25 to a box, and Dura-Posts
ship 20 to a box.
12. Is freight included in my shipment?
No, but we utilize a prepaid and add program where we
charge you the exact cost for shipping.
13. What shipping companies do you
use?
For orders of 16 boxes or fewer, shipments are sent via
UPS. For orders of 17 boxes or more, a standard commercial
freightliner is used.
